Original, thoughtfully planned spaces balance clients’ lifestyle and design needs.

Amanda Reynal’s skill lies in her ability to bring a fresh style to every project while acknowledging the context of each space. Her work is grounded in traditional design concepts layered with modern sensibility.

Her experience:

  • Almost 30 Years of Interior Design Experience
  • Founded ARI 20+ Years Ago in 2001
  • Published in Nationally Recognized Print and Digital Publications
  • Completed projects in the Midwest and on the East Coast and West Coast
  • New York School of Interior Design
  • Parsons School of Design
  • BA, Art History, Trinity College, Connecticut

In 2001, Amanda founded ARI. Her well-traveled aesthetic and astute knowledge of interiors and the design world continues to distinguish her work. Her design process blends sophistication with practicality.

Amanda thinks through her original schemes for each project to bring together a current point of view in a framework that acknowledges the past. She follows rules of form, scale, and function with a fresh perspective.

Her fluency in and understanding of historic and traditional elements combines with her resources the design market to provide clients with a current and relevant project.

In a historic refurbished factory space in downtown Des Moines, ARI’s curated retail shop is a bright mix of home decor and personal accessories from local makers, as well as items Amanda has found farther afield.

Inside, shoppers discover thoughtfully selected home furnishings, accents, original art, and personal accessories.

For design clients, Amanda’s working design studio provides a welcoming space for meetings and project presentations. Extensive and continually updated, her onsite sample library allows Amanda and her team to source materials and design from the studio.
